$1,000 College Scholarship
This application must be submitted on-line or before 5:00pm, April 1, 2025. Two $1,000 scholarship awards will be presented in early May. We have options to recognize our alumni who are pursuing trade school and college careers, with one scholarship being earmarked to a qualified individual from each category. The final recipients will be selected based on career goals, financial need, and demonstrated leadership in school, community, and/or home.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the Blue Valley Middle School PTO Scholarship, an applicant must:
- Be a 2024-25 graduating senior in good standing from Blue Valley High School;
- Have attended Blue Valley Middle School;
- Have a grade point average of 2.0 or higher;
- Have a demonstrated financial need;
- Apply on-line by 4/1/2024 at 5pm;
- Plan to enroll or already be enrolled at any school listed in the Education Directory of Colleges and Universities or the trade school/ community college of applicant choice.

Complete the on-line application below and submit by deadline - April 1, 2025 by 5pm.
- Essay (maximum 100 words): If you had the authority to change your high school in a positive way, what specific change(s) would you make?
- List 3 words to describe your character.
- Describe your most significant role model from your years at BVMS. (This could include a faculty member, friend, volunteer, etc). How has this role model impacted your life, and, if applicable, your career plan?
- Share how receiving this scholarship would assist with financial need and impact your education and career goals. (250 words or less)
- Indicate your high school academic Information - Cumulative weighted GPA, Cumulative unweighted GPA.
- List your top 3-5 high school involvements - school, community, work.
- List the school(s) you have applied to or have decided to attend.
- Upload your resume to the on-line application (no more than 1 page).
- Upload a current unofficial copy of your transcript to the on-line application.
